Stanford Spanish American War Memorial

DUring a recent conference at Stanford I took my Canonet around to test some Efke 100 film. I was struck by this memorial to Stanford students who died fighting in the Spanish American war over 100 years ago. Times have changed in 100+ years. I figured that there is no way that the current students would go to places like Iraq, and no one left would put up a memorial if they did.
