exposure is good, but you have no subject here - it's just an old abandoned staircase - it's not a photo you will remember in 6 months time.

Not many (nice) pictures will be remembered in 6 months time, but suppose the old staircase belongs to Joe's grandparents! In any case, the subject is there to be seen.

Agree with Bertil, with the proviso that I would like to have seen it with a tight crop around the stairs. As regards not remembering it in 6 months time, I think that would depend on the whatever the emotional resonance associated with the stairs and building might be,

I suppose my work may have more significance to me because I really try to capture the feeling of the place where I took this photo. I too was concerned about the absence of a subject, but I really wanted to communicate the desolation of this place. As a matter of fact, I was lost when I found this place! Also, this would probably make more sense if I got off my arse and uploaded the rest of the photos from this series. Its a concentration from a semester in high school. Well I've prattled on far too much at this point, good day all!
