I came across this on my way back home to pick up my wallet that I had forgotten, lol. One of Northampton's downtown icons. Thornes Marketplace contains three floors of stores and services. There is an arcade on the second floor that was established last year.

Minor perspective tweaking through Gimp. I tried centering myself with the steps but the side of the right hand railing still showed more and there was an odd crookedness at the top of the image of the window that was corrected through Gimp. When I moved to the right a little there was better correction of the rails and of the top window portion but then the steps looked kind of awkward. This was a tough shot; made tougher when people are trying to get by you. I will be going back to this scene because I really like the effect of the light on the steps and I love a challenge. Going back to the scene I realized that I have a window of 30 to 40 minutes from the time that the light starts at the top-right of the step then travels to the left. I would have to be there and ready to shoot at around 10:25/10:30am.
