St. Mary's Lake Overlook

Can't really decide how I feel about this shot. Tried my best with the viewpoint I had, but the trees along the bottom are kind of bugging me. What do you all think? BTW, the haze in the sky is actually smoke blowing in from the Idaho wildfires burning at the time.

I'm sure there is always a way to improve composition but looking at your photograph makes me smile, relax ...it's just pleasing to my eye. . It reminds me of paintings of Thomas Doughty an american landscape painter of 19th century

Thank you Ervin for the kind words I just wish my scanning abilities could do the slide justice. With the smoke from the wildfires and the warming filter, there are a lot of varying subtle hues in the sky in the slide. This was about as close as my abilities could get it.

Thumbnail drew me in because the cmposition was exciting. Then a closer look presented a nice, dream-like quality. Superb!

Thanks kerrpanda

Nice scene I was wondering about the haze but I guess to me it adds to the scene a more dreamy effect. Love the composition too. I have not been here so cannot comment too much about the composition. But out of curiosity what slide film were you using?
