St Mark's Venice

Thought I'd post this as its my first print where I have tried to dodge the exposure to even out the tones. I'm still very much on the learning curve in my new darkroom, but I'm quite pleased with this. The print scan doesn't do justice to the actual print tho'

Nothing is better for learning than having your own darkroom. A very evocative image of one of my favorite places

Compared to an earlier print you posted of the same scene (different neg), This one doesn't suffer from excess 'light pollution' which allows for more detail in the background buildings.

Thanks for the comments. Paul - the other one is a neg scan I got from the lab I used. Now I have a darkroom, this one as I say, is my first serious attempt at dodging the print to try and even out the tones between the LHS and the RHS of the image. I guess your comment shows I am making progress!. Thanks for comparing.
