St Lukes, Abercarn

Taken inside St Lukes Church in Abercarn. The church has been derelict since the 60s but still has a great atmosphere and fantastic acoustics.

That light and shadow detail is really eye-catching.

How sad that a beautiful building like that is derelict..I thought such short-sightedness was a North American blight.

It is sad to see buildings in this state but apparently the roof became unsafe so the had to shut the place, its grade 2 listed so they can't just demolish it and I imagine that irt would cost more than people are willing to pay to properly restore it.
