St Ives

Had to scan this in two halves as its a 16x12 print (hence the slight vertical line in the middle). Yes, I just printed a strip of the neg. Scan really doesn't do it justice

Excellent , I believe there are people who knows how to scan a print very well. Some of the scans are ultra good , I opened a thread and asked how to and I could not find an answer. But for you , merging two different scans together to create a better sharpness would be answer.I have an 517/16 Zeiss Ikon Nettar with Novar 6.3 and I found some ultra sharp scans at flickr. When it comes to your print , no wrong tone disturbs the eye , every tone is harmonized and like comes from a painter with a silver tip. So elegant and smooth. I think double image merging is a digital secret among people. try to search it
