Springfield Falls

4x5 silver contact print

There was a time I discriminated against waterfalls... I feel like I've finally wrapped my brain around the fact that the only thing new under the sun is our own personal experiences. This is one of mine.

Shawn, I think this is a great waterfall image. BTW, how does the lodima compare to AZO. I have not really heard.

John

Thanks fellows. Miles, it's definitely something I'm still learning to follow as well.

John,
I'm the wrong person to compare this paper to Azo. I am a much better printer now than I was when I briefly used Azo several years ago. I'm currently working through 1500 2 1/4 sheets of Azo G2 E surface from the 60s but that is a very different thing. I will say the lodima is easy to print with, has great midtone separation and seems very sharp. I'm really loving the warm tone I'm getting by adding extra KBr to my amidol and toning at 1:50 in selenium for 3 minutes or so.
