not sure what it is about salt prints but I like them,
even though they lack detail in some areas your mind looks past that and and fills in those areas .......
and the tones are very nice.

I think the lack of detail in salt prints is similar to the lack of detail to be found in certain styles of painting, Impressionism for instance. I think the eye enjoys sort of filling in the blanks. Also, it becomes so much about form and values, something that's important in all sorts of visual arts. This is a wonderful example of that.
