Spring Burn

Wow... I got a burn pile going outside in Cross Village, Mi. right now, come inside and find this on top of the gallery. Great shot!

Very surreal atmosphere, and yet... just a backyard brush clearing! Nicely done. BTW,(I'll show my ignorance! ) what is a Zone Plate Camera?

Suzanne, A zone plate camera is similar to a pinhole camera -- it has no lens. Here's a more detailed description:

In practise, the zone plate is faster than the pinhole, though not quite as sharp, and produces a characteristic "glow" around hightlights.
