Thomas, I really like this also. I get the relationship between the stump and the remaining trees. Another image could be made by croping the just above the stump.

Beautiful image, the light is gorgeous, the snow on the trunks of the trees is striking against the bark.

The first thing I thought when the first half of your photo was on my screen (the upper half, slow connection here), was: Photoshop trick! Some seconds later I saw this was natural. Very, very nice shot. Not the first one you showed here. Thanks for this one and the other ones.
