Would appreciate peoples thoughts on this. Its a bit different for me (even with the recent tryptichs) thought I would try it out and see how I liked it.
with your recent uploads of
beautiful tryptiches
i was wondering if you were going to do this
i love the way the image flows
and how on the top and bottom left the viewer is left
to put the pieces of the image in himself.
Hmmm... I'm on the fence. I think I'd like it better as a triptych with another vertical on the left. I don't know... Got a look at it a few more times and see how it sinks in.
I like it but I was thinking I wanted to see another frame on the right. If you could find a way to mount your 8x10 so that it pivots from the axis centered in the center of your lens, or put the lens right over the center of the tripod, it would be like using a panorama head. Just a thought. Nice image and nice tonalities.
Dennis
thanks all.
I'm a bit on the fence about it as well.
Dennis, to your point, it actually was a trytich, with a landscape 8x10 on either side of the portrait 8x10 in the center. But I had a bad foul up on the right-most negative.... I sort of wrote it off and wasn't going to bother printing the left-most and center alone. But I looked at them on a light table this weekend and something was kinda interesting about it, the imbalance perhaps.
anyone of these can stand on their own because they are well seen and technically excellent.. I believe if seeking balance of sorts a 3rd image would complete this work .... great work ....
