What the heck are you trying to do?!

Didn't you read Charlotte Cotton's essay "The New Color: The Return of Black-and-White"

She wrote:

"The monochromatic contributions of Bernd and Hilla Becher are perhaps seen as unrepeatable... "

So even trying to sneak some color into it won't cut it!

Just kidding of course!

The photo disturbs me -- cutting off the water tower that way. Which is good -- otherwise it could just be another Becher-like image. And I like the way the tree and telephone pole work with the tower to confuse my sense of scale.
