The Hollenstein Wagon and Carriage factory in Mayville, Wisconsin, dates from the 1870s. Now a museum, it really anchors the corner at Bridge and German Streets. Photo taken September 2016. Print made August 2019, 8” x 10”.

Here’s Hollenstein’s wagon and carriage factory - you see his old house at the rear;
Now as a museum the furniture’s there along with many things Mayville holds dear.
You’ll find old theater seats and an airplane inside, weathered farm tools from days gone by
And even the thick windows from Mayville’s first bank, where a gangster once gave theft a try.
