Sonatas XII-32 (Homes)

A dilapidated frame foursquare. There is little sign of habitation, yet it seems not quite abandoned. Perhaps it just needs a paint job? Interesting to see how many area foursquares would have looked like before modern siding and improvements. Photo taken July 2019. Print made February 2022, 8 x 10.

Sonatas XII-32 (Homes)

Words by Khaetidawne and Brendan Quirk

They closed up my wide porch and put junk inside
Took down my nice staircase and let the paint fester outside.
Someone come, scrape my clapboards - Oh paint me again!
Bring in all the supplies - let loose the workmen.
