Love the series, amazing area. I believe that this is one giant volcano, kind of sobering!

Yes a red filter was used on this. I took 4 shots and it took me less than a minute. With a 8x10 that is hard. One funny thing happened. We got to the area we wanted to take the photo where most people were not sitting (only by chance). As we were setting up, outside my drop cloth I heard a lady say "if they are taking their picture from here it has to be the spot to see old faithful.
