I didn't catch his name but did ask permission before taking this photo. One of the hottest days in the summer of 2017. Cars parked illegally on Highway 1 because they just couldn't bear the inland heat. Despite the crowds, this young artist worked in a space of his own.
This really looks like it was taken 100 years ago and, whether or not that was your intent, it works. The contrast is rather dour, but that enhances the rather exotic mood of what could be deemed a 'Third World venue'. Maybe this definition was not your intent, but I wanted to impart what hit me most. - David Lyga
Thanks David, I have to figure out whe the edges are light, because I don’t like that. Probably the f/22 on Xenar I used for enlarging. I tried burning the edges but not enough and overall print could have been lighter.
My funky choice of equipment always gives my prints a certain look. Sometimes it works for me.
