It's a decent attempt. You centered the subject to balance the picture and make it quiet and static. Your lighting is quite nice. I don't like that the subjects head sort of disappears into the shadows of the far bank. I don't really like the fact that the subject is so broad shouldered but that just a personal thing, but my biggest problem is just the fact that picnic tables never seem to hold any gravitas or pleasing aesthetics in picture for me.
