Solitary

There are two parts to the Talbot Island State Parks. This is from Little Talbot Island. It is a gorgeous strand with few visitors during the week as swimming is discouraged, and fisherman prefer other sites not far away. This, however, was photographed on a Sunday when the US Navy's Blue Angels were putting on a show 30 miles to the south. That distance takes just a few seconds to cover in their F18 Hornets. They came screaming overhead to regroup for their next trick, and were thrilling to hear though not visible due to altitude. The contrast with the serene beach and calm ocean was dramatic.
