Excellent! It probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as effective in standard B&W, rather than IR. The "white" tree really makes it work.

I think the format is what makes this shot. If it was not a panorama it would nor be nearly as interesting.

Thank you all so much for your feedback...which is really good to hear.

The panoramic format camera is fairly new, so I'm finding it both interesting and challenging getting a feel for when and when not to use it. I felt it did seem very appropriate for this shot...so I'm glad other people seem to feel it is right as well...and the selection of infrared film.

Fabulous image! I too am using the Xpan II with HIE, and I am finding it a match made in heaven.

BTW, have you obtained the special non-perforated pressure plate for the Xpan II that Hasselblad is making for HIE shooters? For some reason Hasselblad is not publicizing its existence, but you can purchase it from a Hasselblad parts department. It is easy to swap the plates yourself.
