Snow at Viewing Platform

This is a negative scan of an image I took after a snowstorm the week before Christmas 2007. It is a viewing platform overlooking a field of corn at the Columbia Bottoms Conservation Area near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. I really liked the patterns formed by the blown snow on the ice of the walkway leading to the platform.

I agree and like the pattern shadows of the railings on the platform. We have this kind of snow so rarely in my part of the U.K. so my judgement of snow shots may be faulty but bearing that in mind, would this print be better at a higher contrast grade? Looks maybe a little soft and grey?

Very interesting composition - almost could be viewed as the "Bridge to Nowhere"...
Agree with Pentaxuser that a bit more contrast would punch up that new snow as whiter, and blacken the dark bits. If you agree, we'd love to see a repost sometime. Nice image... thanks...
