I like the subject of your interest, however it feels a bit too claustrophobic from this angle, for my taste and makes me think, lower down POV, and to one side or the other, or move in, to one side or the other.

I like the treatment of the DOF, and the monochrome feel,; its a good image and well made, it's just no one thing or the other.

Do you have a contact of these shots to play with?
 
@eli griggs Thanks so much for you comments eli. Yes I do wish I had been less of down angle on the subject. When you contact of these shots, if you mean darkroom print contact, no just scanned neg.
 
A big part of why younger photographer's

Yes, I'm an old guy who used contact sheets forever and I use the term for both analog and digital, sheets.

Both are good but I favor making, b&w, contact sheets on the same paper i will use to make a print.

With FB graded papers, this is no practical these days, so Whatever works is fine with me.

With a good b&w negitive, you can pretty much 'read' the values, but the contact print/scan is important for finding your way through your own photo history
