Very cool! It makes me a little dizzy looking at this--that lens has some major swirl.

Eddie,
I think the swirl effect is quite good and the idea is worthwhile , but the presence of that hose pipe in the foreground and that strong shape in the top right rather spoil the overall effect.

tex, thanks. i agree. i moved the pipe (eventually) and the structure in the back ground....well, i should not have had it in there. i actually was just doing some initial tests. i never thought i would get such promising results.

I have read peoples comments about how certain lenses can give a 3-D look to things ...this is the first time I've seen it. I didn't see it at first. This man appears to be standing in front of ...everything.. as if emerging from some vortex. damn that is strange.
