Only 60 acres remain cleared of the 1000 acres that were once this plantation. The rest have become overgrown with forest. I wanted to show a little of the surround for a cabin and this old tree with its Spanish moss was available. I doubt, though, that it's ancient enough to have shaded the cabin when it was lived in.
I like the composition for two reasons in particular. Leaving a bit of space on the left of the tree and also the walls providing a bit of wanting to weave through the center to see the other side. A nice idea here.
