Slaughter Beach

Every year, horseshoe crabs gather en masse at Slaughter Beach, Delaware to spawn. Many of the crabs are exhausted after their mission is complete, and die on the beach at low tide.

This truly is a simple family vacation snapshot, my lovely bride showing me the first dead horseshoe crab she found after we walked out onto the mud flat at low tide.

Nice photo, would make a great print too.
Thank you, and I agree. Making prints is the next step for me, one that's been taking way too long for me to take. But I've got some Dektol & stop bath on the way from Freestyle this week, and everything else (I think) to make 35mm enlargements.

Lovely animated shot, and what a name for a beach! Lucky that's not my wife, should try and revive it! Interesting creatures Horseshoe crabs, they have genuine blue-blood if I recall.
