Sixty Cents Per Gallon

Sometimes you have to be patient to get "the" image from a trip. I found this just after starting off for home after a week shooting on the Outer Banks. Comments appreciated.

Really nice. The toning's fantastic and the image has real depth. I think it would have been nice to include the rest of the hand grip on the right.

Very nice, Dan. The toning adds to the impression of age and corrosion.

All the best,
Daniel

Great texture and subject matter. I'm going to the Outer Banks next June. This looks promising...

Lovely toning. This is the kind of toning I'm going to shoot for once I get into toning. Looks like I need to investigate thiocarbimide...

I was almost frightened to say it but as two others have, including Tim Rudman, I too thought it was lith. Might have been worth getting both top and right side in. Alternatively the background may have added to the old pump feel and look and so stepping back was also an alternative.
