This is a wonderful photograph!

Sadly, I cannot stop myself from thinking .... Splinters!
 
I find it interesting the contrast between the smoothnesss of Kalas skin and the roughness of the weathered wood

My thoughts were not so much of splinters but a very sore bottom

Holy Crap! this is just awesome!!! can I please steal your wood platform idea for studio work! please! really adds the texture I like and makes the the backdrop studio thing look more interesting.

of course...Actually: about the "splinter issue": this is an ancient log of wood, found in the water... it has been there for maybe centuries, so no splinters left... actually rather smooth and vERY heavy..
 
Oh good to know! And thanks, ok on my checklist, fund wood older than PE hehe.
