These are pictures from an abandoned silo now demolished to be replaced by a modern apartment building. Unfortunately, with limited space and a booming economy, few of such derelict structures are left standing in the Netherlands to follow the path of natural decay...
I was particularly captivated by the beautiful light in this structure...
I really like the series from the old silo. I also share your love of old structures.
On this one, I would rotate the paper just a little to get the horizontals to be square with the paper. That would make the converging verticals really pop.
The tones look good, the darks have good texture and the highlights aren't blown out.
Thanks for your comments. Yeh, I know what you mean with the rotation... However, it might be that the actual FB print is OK, it's a while back that I scant this print...
It might just be the scan that is not "straight up". Sometimes it's just plain difficult to get the print correctly orientated on the scanner, and I have on occasion used Photoshop's rotation options to correct these issues. But I just don't want to spend all my time behind the computer, so sometimes leave it at that...
