This is the one that conveys the night-time lighting best to me. The image with the spotlit drain pipe comes a close second.
Night pictures with artificial lighting have a character. Strong directional lighting and shadows, but originating from several directions. There is no doubt that this is a night picture.
I think you clipped the arch a little too tight at the top on this one. Curves at the edge of the frame are funny things. I find they work best either unclipped, or definitely clipped. In this case the top of the frame is tangential to the curve. It may not bother other people, though.
I understand your issue with the curve and arch clip, however, all of the images I uploaded today, were extremely hard to come by. I used a 75mm Schneider Kreuznach lens for some, resulting in particular light fall off at the groundglass, making the framing even more difficult than it already was, being nighttime...
In addition, I needed to keep out other disturbing elements, like directly visible lights that would otherwise ruin the pictures, so had to compromise here and there...
Shawn, one big tip if you want to do LF at nighttime: Take some of these modern LED lights (e.g. bicycle lights) with you and put them there where you want to have your focus. If you have two, you can even put one in the front and back focus positions each. I recently started to do this, and it helps a lot. Seeing focus on a groundglass at nighttime is a nightmare... These photo's in Siena have given me headaches, setting up, framing and focusing sometimes took over an 1 hour...
