I have an image in my gallery of same window, taken with a Rolleicord. I have never been satisfied with results of the 'cord, and recently captured a C330 with a 105mm DS lens. Man, i like the sharp of this. Not sure, though, that i like the composition as much as the previous photo.
Appreciate your critical eye and constructive input, HiHo. I think now there was way too much brick wall in the previous photo, and you are right about the lighting. The other one was way too flat - i had thought that would be an asset in a photo like this, but i would be mistaken.
The new to me C330 i picked up recently is a fine delightful camera. I am enjoying the heck out using it - keep it with me most of the time now.
I like this shot also, the simplicity of the composition appeals to me. Being in the Critique Gallery prompts me to add that I feel you should have included all of the shadow of the locking device in the bottom LHS. Apart from that, it is a lovely shot.
very greatly appreciated, kreeger. I need comments like this when merited in order to understand better what is good in a photograph. i have admired much of your work, and especially liked your silo, recently.
