Man... I keep coming back to this over and over. It is haunting me! Actually reminds me of the painting style of good friend Lowell Boileau.

Thanx Bill, I've seen his work, but didn't know the name. He has great stuff which is very much how I remember many places when young and DT Detroit or Cass were where we went every night to find fun, excitement and what have you. The picture Open House reminds me of the Peterbourgh (sp?) gallery which was on Peterbourgh between Cass and Woodward. It was the best Gallery in Detroit for one summer way back in the mid '80s. On the same street were beautiful old homes where fire had gutted all but the stone or brick exterior. It's really cool how pure colour can produce melancholy and other emotions that seem counter intuitive.
