Gorgeous. I’ve always wanted to go here - and I just might be able to squeeze in a visit this fall if all goes well.
 
@mooseontheloose It is a fantastic place! If you travel to Yakushima, my recommendation is to avoid doing the Jomon Sugi trail all together. It's very long, and the scenery is quite boring. Yakusugi Land is a lot more enjoyable.
 
@mike c Thanks! This is the best of three exposures braketing one stop over and under. It helps that at this particular time there wasn't direct sunglight, which lowered the contrast of the scene.
 
@Hekoru That was my plan as well! I've heard that the Jomon hike is long and not that scenic, and really my main purpose in going there is to photograph the beautiful forests.
