Shellfish Cat, St. Ives...

This cat knew exactly where to sit. At the Take Away Window. When your order is ready, so is the cat...
Location
A wet, busy evening down at the harbor in St. Ives, (Cornwall), England
Equipment Used
An umbrella, a lightweight tripod, a Mamiya M6 camera, a 75mm lens, & FP4 film. neg # PECA 031
Digital Post Processing Details
A straight negative scan.
Kitten allowed enough time to set up your gear - she seems to be on an even keel ... Very nice photograph, Reinhold.
I've never been to St. Ives - reminds me to R. L. Stephenson's eponymous novel.

That cat may have had an "exhibitionist" streak. There was a constant flow of people passing by, the cat was unruffled by the traffic only because it knew that another customer would order something at that window. As people saw what I was up to, they'd pause and step to one side trying not to spook the cat, but it was patiently waiting for the next customer... That's a fine example of patience for us photographers...

I like this a lot. Reminds me of a relaxed, tolerant time in British seaside places when the pace of life did not lead to an early grave
