I rather like it, dramatic selective focus and a nice abstract sense of 'the beach'.
(I suppose it also illustrates one of the hazards of auto-focus in general -- ask me about trying to take a picture of snow outside with a screen in the intervening window! )
Hi @DWThomas. Thanks for the comments. After a couple of years of shooting the iPhone, I had pretty much concluded that optical selective focus was not going to happen. It is kind of like trying for selective focus with a Minox, at risk of dating myself. So you can imagine my delight when this wafer thin depth of field appeared on the “monitor”. The frontmost shell is maybe a couple of inches from the lens, to help put things in perspective (pardon the pun).
