shell creek #5

shell creek #5

One more from a recent outing. I am really liking the fuji pro 160s negative film. I was looking for a sheet film that had the properties of t-max in terms of latitude but amazingly this exceeds it. The shadow detail is fantastic without blowing out the highlights. You can't do that with velvia. The real advantage for me is I don't see any reciprocity failure.
I am also processing the negatives myself on a jobo processor, and it is amazingly simple. I am trying to create color images that create the mood and feel of my black and white images. Hopefully the public will have an interest in color swamp photography.

Thank you Bertus!
Hi Mike, how have you been? You left me on my own to long and I started shooting color.
Charlotte county has a small park with a boat ramp at about the mid point of the river. It is off of a loop road. This spot is on the extreme east end of the river and is a real pain to get to. There weren't too many alligators, but one that I saw was the biggest I have ever seen. He was well over a thousand pounds and as big around as a 50 gallon drum. He came off the bank and swam under my gheenoe, that was exciting.

Yea john,
maybe I could put in up river and swim. Two places I have been around a ton of gators was out a C. Web on the lakes fishing for bass. I was on my flats boat on lake Trafored and did not feel safe even on that. I saw at least 100 gators over 10 feet to 15 ft in length. that is really scarey. So I take is where you shot this was shallow.
