Looks like they kept their sense of humor. Good picture

I think that one of the reasons that I end feeling ok in this place is that the hog's heads looks as they are smilling all the time, even that they scream a lot before died.

What exactly are you trying to say with this photograph?
I find this image very disturbing, but maybe this is part of a series of images that you are working on .
could you fill in the dots for me on this one

Bob, this is part of a documentary I've been doing in Mexico about slaughterhouses, about the animals and the people who work there, about the pride of an office. It is also part of a bigger project related with the dead in Mexico. You can see more of my work at my hompage in mac.com http://homepage.mac.com/joseafoto/Menu18.html
Victor, thanks for your intention of make light something that, at least for you, is grotesque. For me the subject is serious, real, it is there.

I think this image is even better with each look. Yes morbid, yes it makes you smile, then it is very sad again, then you dont know what to think. It really plays the viewer without trying to be clever. Well seen. It is supremely good in its own right and even better in the context of a project. Some might not like the idea of projects about the dead, but like many I sometimes like to be haunted and disturbed. 'Death' is compelling and is the last question to be answered for us all. Despite knowing that we will really learn nothing that matters, I for one still continually explore it. This desire to make sense of mortality is a part of my fascination with military history. There the insight is thru the fate of brave men. Here, unwitting animals.

Jose. Thank you for the link, obviously this is not a casual image that you found and as well looking at your work, you have a definate plan with this body of work. The morgue images I find less disturbing funny enough. I think North Americans take very lightly the value of animals lives and their fundemental importance to us for survival. Veiwing this image at first glance I thought you entered an image for the casual sake of humour and seeing your body of work I now know this is not so . Therefore I apologize if my response seemed critical. good luck with your project.
