This is a work print of the images I've taken in the Sespe Creek area by where I live. I've seen a lot of things in the slow water. To me it looks like a Brontosaur!(SP?) It's fun to see what you can do with slow water!
Hi Jim,
this is very beautiful. I like the luminosity you conveyed, I imagine the light must have been extraordinary! I always think it's a weird contrast between the sharp rocks and the silky smooth water, but one that appeals to me.
I probably shouldn't do it here, but I'm gonna anyway. I think your image is stronger with about 10-15% cropped off the bottom. The upper portion of the image becomes more prominent and visible that way, in my humble opinion
I love the creamy smooth texture and tonal variation. I think you chose a very good tool with your 8x10. Composition is great also. Nice natural flow.

Thomas, thanks for the nice comments and the ideas. I was scrolling with my moniter and I do like your suggestion. This is a contact print and I never have a problem cropping if it makes a stronger image. I have another copy and i can crop that and live with them to see which one I like best.
Jim, another good one. I agree about the crop and that there may be several images to work with here. The lower portion could be taken as an abstract of the whole. Looks like you've been getting out a bit and working. best, tim
Matt and Tim, thanks for the ideas. I hadn't thought about additional images. Thanks so much for "opening my eyes" to the other potentials. Tim this image is an older one that was a test print I had not looked at for some time. I guess I should get to work on it.
Gary, thank you for you interest. I didn't think at first that this image had all of the possibilities that it has. Thanks again to everyone for their input.
