Sequoia & Family

My parents and my brother's two sons, gazing upward in a redwood grove.

Couldn't do a proper scan because the print is too big, so this was a quick digital shot of the finished print. The print is better, but... oh well...

Some perspective correction and out of focus rendering was done during the analogue conversion stage from a colour (astia) slide to 5x7 tmax. What you see is a toned 16x20 print.

Thanks to Richard for loaning some bleach and toner!

An amazing print, Keith! It's really pretty, and the toning suits the subject matter like hand in glove.
Beautiful!

Thanks guys. I saw some of Richard Pippin's carbon-toned stuff and immediately thought to tone this that way. It looks chocolatey delicious!

Kal my enlarger didn't have enough tilt to do the perspective correction I wanted, so I placed my tmax on an incline and did it that way. I used the minor tilt of the enlarger in the perpendicular direction to further isolate the focus.

If you are interested in the starting slide, here 'tis...
