I wouldn't say it survived, it thrived! :wink: Gorgeous colour mix, and just right for this image, with the blue toner imparting a lovely and suitable blue tinge to the waters.
 
Both work. Water can look this colour. However again the sky looks a little streaky.pentaxuser
