Self Portrait

FINALLY got the darkroom back up and running again. My family has been asking for a while for a current photo of me. What can I say, I prefer being behind the lens, not in front. I decided I would work on a self portrait as a Christmas present for the fam. I'm thinking I need to burn in the the walls of the shed a little more. What do you guys/gals think?

I think it's a great portrait! In my opinion you should be careful not to tone down the white siding too much, as that would take the beautiful glow you have in those tones.
It's a very relaxed portrait with a bit of a story, and questions asked as well. Good work!

I agree with Thomas. It is what it is.

Nice work Aaron. Great to see new work from you here! This is a good portrait, and I agree with Thomas about NOT toning down the highlights in the siding. There is enough detail in there right now and the only improvement to the siding would be the lightest edge burn on the far LHS and that is it. Nothing more. Great shot and exposure though.

Thank you very much everyone for your comments. Feels great to be printing again

tmike, I had played around with cropping down a bit but, something about it just seemed ""cramped" to me.

Thanks Michael...LOL Truth be told, it might just be a case of having looked at something for a while and then not quite liking it so much. I had posted this originally on my Flickr page with the tighter crop and now you've got me revisiting my original crop again. Here's the original version I had played with... http://www.flickr.com/photos/aaron_lehoux/3006845730/
