Another excellent Darlot image today. Andrew , What do you think about latest movie or photography films of Kodak with the attention to blue. The blues are like too much cyan oriented ,
I like more red in blue.

What do you think ?

Thank you ,

Umut

Thanks Umut... I have not used color print film for nearly 12 years!!! So not sure I am qualified to comment on the shift in color of late.... I was told that Kodak Ektar might be too saturated... I actually like the look of this film for portraits with the darlot lens and might use more of it.

Interesting results, Andy, to see the results of an old and very low contrast lens with a high tech emulsion and saturated colors. I think I like it, and once you get used to shooting color I'm sure you'll do brilliant things with it.
For what it's worth, I've been using a lot of Portra 160 and 400 for the last six months, and I really love their color rendition. If you're not happy with Ektar, check out the Portra 160. But if you like what you're getting, then shut your ears and don't listen to me.

Andy - Very wonderful portrait. These colors are wonderful! I hope Sean likes it too! Love the mix of the 'old' (Dalot) and the 'new' (Blad). Andy
