Walking through the aspens, I saw the scars on this tree miles from anywhere. I'm not a deep enough thinker to ascribe anything meaningful here. It just made me go "hmmmm" and take a picture.
Nice muted pallette, but my niggling bug is that everything is a degree or two off of vertical. Someone else must have been here once. Many years ago a prospector in the 30's in northern canada in the 'middle of nowhere' made camp, looked around, and spotted a tree with a small cast iron frying pan with a branch growng well though the handle in the fry pan, many feet up in the tree. Presumably left there accidentally decades earlier by someone else.
