this is from roll #6 of the new maco 820/400 film-and I'm actually pleased with the results from both this and the roll shot alongside this one.Any comments are welcomed.rescanned image, hopefully it is an improvement over the original
I'd walk in there... of course, I'd be asleep and dreaming! I like the very bright highlights just behind and above the arch, but maybe just burn in a bit in the upper right corner. Don't want my eyes (and dreams) floating out of the picture! Nicely done.
Suzanne and Esanford,
thanks for commenting.although the highlights do look too bright here there is more detail in the print to where you can see some shadow areas between them-but the point is taken in that it dosn't really balance out with the rest of the image.I rescanned the image and it's an improvement over the first scan-but it still dosn't show all the detail that's there.I'm just going to leave the scan as is hoping that at least everyone gets an idea about how the original looks-once again Suzanne and Esanford, thanks for the input!
I think it's beautiful. A true print will need the usual dodge and burn required of such IR stuff, but the scan gives a good indication of it's potential.
I would be very proud of it, that's for sure. And I would walk in. of course.
Tammy,
thanks for the kind words-in retrospect I should have done the image in the old 820c as well just for comparison but I need to get used to the new film ton another note I can't guarantee once you walk in that you'll find a way out though
Wonderful dreamy quality to this. I love good IR photography. To me it's difficult to visualize what an image will look like when shooting IR. Quite the skill to master. Good work!
