Sax, In Motion 1

Faster and faster. Just in time ready for the MSA topic sep-okt in motion. Taken in my exhibition-studio, special for Barbara Ann and her great MSA assignment motion. The series includes four images in the MSA threat if you like.
Location
Ridderkerk
Equipment Used
Cambo 4x5 and 210 mm Rodenstock + 3 studio flashlights
Exposure
4 sec. F11 + flash
Film & Developer
Ilford FP4 - HC 110
As bsd says - seems like a straight portrait (no motion) with the instrument motion exposed on top. 'Handsome effect on a nice portrait.

The secret is to flash + 4 sec lens open, after 2 sec moving the sax. Thanks.

Bertus, Thank You - for sharing how the effect was created. Its visually striking. A quick perusal of your other images show that this expertise is not uncommorn for you.
