That looks like an old early 50's Packard that use to be close to the house junked. We use to sneak off and set in it and smoke. Good tonal range, sharpness and memories.

Col, anything that gets your attention is a catch for me. I'm still noticing the feel of the shots developed in PyroHD. I'm sure its common knowledge to others, but it sure has some nice stuff about it. Any reflection in a surface is clear & bright. Though the headlight bezel is corroded & not shiny - the headlight glass wasn't particularly clean or brilliant, but it lights up here.

I've discovered most developers will give good results. It mostly depends on what you like and if there's any better tonal separation and sharpness. I thought of trying some Pyro but didn't like the "staining" part. Guess I'll stay with HC-110, Rodinal, ID-11 and maybe Xtol but still experimenting with that one.

Patina, that is what that guy on Chasing Classic Cars calls it... Super eye and composition, HiHo, you put up some terrific stuff this weekend, all of it. And i think that pyro is working nice for you, but like the COL i am not quite ready to plunge into staining. If i were a roll film developing dude i might, supposed to help greatly in the prints. But, your scans also seem to have a nice quality and tone to them. I love to see images like this even though not my era. It does remind me though of the remarks from my parents and aunts and uncles about the interminable driving around the town square in Sullivan, IN on Friday and Saturday nights in the late 50s. Sullivan even has a "Arnolds" news stand soda fountain still operating. And, that grill....

I agree with michaelorr, nice stuff! It seems we both have an affinity for the derelict and decaying. I still have some Obsidian Aqua pyro I might need to mix some up for some upcoming images.

I first tried the pyro on suggestion from Andrew & seconded by Tony. I'm very pleased. Andrew mentioned Obsidian Aqua also, so I suspect the results from it will be quite satisfying. Those two know their way around a camera, to put it mildly. 'Hope to see what you think about the OA & seeing the images will be a treat.
