Salton Sea

Another lith on the 60 year old Luminos Portrait Lignon. The linen pattern is not so apparent on the actual print, but the tone is close to what is on my monitor.

Beautiful!

PS: I noticed that you shot HIE on a Contax G2 - didn't the film window fog the infrared film? Just curious.

Well, I am not totally sure but it seems to help with the really badly fogged papers. It's certainly easier to keep track of how much is in the pan, compared to bromide. It also seems to keep the developer in the sweet spot longer.

Maybe I should have mentioned, this print and the motorcycle are only postcard size, so the scan really exaggerates the linen pattern.

What a beautiful print, Rich! I have also discovered the value of lith printing, and especially older papers that are hopelessly fogged in standard chemistry.

Nice treatment to this image!

Thanks,
