The view of Salisbury Cathedral from Harnham. The tree and shrubs on the right have had a dodge (which is probably too much and a bit clumsy but otherwise they are black). The sky has had +1/2 stop at grade 0. I will try this print again.
@Svenedin you can include a link to an image in a reply comment.
Don't hesitate to use higher contrast filter's for burning skies. You may be surprised at how much texture that can bring out.
@MattKing Thanks. It would make these discussions much easier if I could attach photographs. Yes I found that I can include a link but that means I have to have put my image somewhere on the web and I don't where I would do that. I have burnt the sky with higher contrasts for other prints but these are prints with an easier skyline so that I can dodge the rest of the photo with a piece of cardboard kept moving. For this print I wouldn't want to spoil the cathedral spire and the trees also make it more difficult. I can give it a go, maybe with a specially cut piece of cardboard, but I don't want the end result to be obvious or my usual clumsy attempt! There is a risk of either a halo or a "burnt edge".
