I just love those ears she has on her head; they make me laugh, but then her expression is so serious, almost far away, and the gesture of her hand so tender -- the way these parts don't (but do) go together is so the way it is in high school -- maybe life beyond too, but not so visibly -- and then he is so dreamy, with his eyes closed. A lot going on but at the same time just pure. And the shallow depth of field. Perfect.
