Sach's Covered Bridge

This photograph was taken on a morning spent photographing with my mother. Growing up near Gettysburg I have always taken having such a historical and important place close by for granted. Being up early in the morning allowed us time to see the battlefield without the crowds. Spanning Marsh Creek the Sach's covered bridge was used by the confederates on their retreat after the battle of Gettysburg. The bridge was restored using most of the original woodwork after a flood almost destroyed it in 1996.

Tone and lighting are excellent - I really like this.
In the 70's into 90's I was a member of the Fifth Michigan Regimental Band, and we used to play at Gettyburg every year - usually during the 4th of July weekend. What a great place to learn history.
