Great Image Dan, I've ridden this boat many, many times when I used to come across the lake to my parents place. Lots of fond memories. Ike

I have a photo similar to this, but it's facing the other way, since I live five miles from Manitowoc, WI. (The other terminal for this ferry.)

Great image, I really like the gentle fog effect from the two minute exposure with the stack smoking. Very nice!

I can almost feel the movement in the water and the silvery sheen on it is very beautiful. The ship has a ghost-like character, especially the fumes coming from the stack is cool. The pitch black sky works great to balance the image. The only negative I have to mention is that it feels as though the image tilts to the right, which may just be a trick on the eye.
Other than that a really nice dreamy feeling photograph with interesting subject matter that has me asking questions.
Great work.

Cool photograph, Dan. What is the source of light reflected on the RH water surface- moonlight? Very neat effect against the pitch black sky.

All the best,
Daniel
